Birthday Surprise and Weekend Happenings

Well last week I turned 30! I cant believe it! We had a party with Family and Friends at the house. Matthew decided against a surprise party because I usually figure things out that he is hiding from me. Although the party wasn't a surprise, he did manage to pull one over on me! He, my parents, and his parents decided to go together and send me to Austin to see Tammy for the weekend WITHOUT the girls! A weekend by myself with my sister I was completely surprised.

I was looking forward to going and then it almost didn't happen. By Tuesday night I was running a 104 fever and was miserable! I can not remember being that sick with such a high fever in my life! Matt took me to the doctor and by Friday morning I was feeling better so off I went on a plane alone to Austin. Tammy and I had a great time shopping and talking and just being together I didn't want to leave but I missed my girls and Matthew too much! I am glad it was not a longer trip, but sad it was so short too.

Shortly after Matt dropped me off at the airport, Hannah decided to give daddy and grandpa a scare. She was running up to grandpa's front door and face planted on the pavement....it looks worse than I think it really is, she is doing fine but has a pretty good scape on her face.

Rachel took the weekend in stride, knowing something wasn't quite right but couldn't really figure out exactly what it was. She was so happy to see me at the airport I don't think I have ever seen her smile that big!

Busy, Busy, Busy....

We have had a busy month so far and lots to look forward to this weekend, as mommy turns 30! We are having a big party to celebrate with family and friends. Here are some pictures of the girls from the last few weeks and a short video of the mother monkey Hannah...she loves to help Rachel walk...a little too much! Enjoy!

Hannah had to decorate a heart for her preschool bulletin board and Matt decided that it would be a fun project to work on together.

Rachel's hair is FINALLY getting long enought to actually do something with it!

Today they were having fun playing with hats! Hannah thought it was warm enough to wear shorts, since we were not going anywhere I decided not to fight the battle and let her dress herself which she is doing a lot more of (she dressed her self in the video above too)
