Christmas Time, Oh and Dont forget the Birthday!

"The Animals First Christmas"
Hannah's school put on a singing performance last week and it was the cutest thing! They sang and signed to several songs it was a hoot! We were so proud of Hannah, she knew all the words to every song, but decided that night that she just wanted to sing and not sign, but she was fantastic.

Sunday we had Hannah's Birthday here at the house with our whole family. She was spoiled rotten again and Christmas is right around the corner. She got a lot of great stuff to play with, clothes, books and games. Lots of stuff to keep her busy!

Rachel is doing great! She is growing so fast and starting to say lots of words, talking up a storm already just like her big sister. She has yet to take her first steps but that will come before we know it and then we wont be able to keep up with her!

Santa!

Today we took Hannah and Rachel to see Santa Claus. After waiting for what seemed like forever in a line full of kids we finally made it to the front of the line with calm and well behaved children....until we put Rachel in Santa's Lap. As you can see from the picture the screaming started the minute I let go of her and then when I picked her back up she was all smiles. She was not happy to see Santa at all....Oh well maybe next year......Hannah was fantastic with Santa and all she asked for was a Barbie Jeep!

Hectic Holidays

As most of you know our Christmas season is not only full of Christmas Celebration but also Birthdays! Rachel turned one right before Thanksgiving and now Hannah is turning 4 on the 17th! We had Hannah's Brithday party with all her friends this past weekend, it was a housefull! We had a My Friends Tigger & Pooh Super Slueth Party! All the kids had lots of fun pretending to be super slueths, it was great!

Hannah had a fun filled weekend of parties and then cookie time with Nana! She and my mom made sugar cookies on Sunday afternoon and had a blast decorating and baking together.

Pumpkin Pie and Mayhew Dressing

Yesterday Hannah spent a lot of time in the kitchen, She and her friend Noah made homemade pumpkin pies (I baked and pureed a pumpkin) They had a ton of fun adding spices and mixing all the ingredients.

Mayhew Dressing is a family recipe that Matt's family has made for a long time. It has to be made the night before so the spices are just right. Hannah helped Grandma last night, and had a blast getting her hands all gooey and slimy from mixing the dressing, a spoon just doesn't work right!

Enjoy the pictures and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Look Who's One!!!

Rachel Lee's First Birthday!!!

Saturday Rachel Lee turned one! I can't believe a year has gone by already! She is getting so big and starting to talk and say things. She loves to say "Duke, Duke, Duke" (our lab for those who dont know) We had a party on Sunday. She had fun with all of the presents and the wrapping paper, but her favorite part by far was the cake. She dug right in and by the end was covered!
She had her one year check up on Monday and weighed in at 17.5lbs and 28inches. She is in the 10th percentile for weight and 25th for height, just a little tiny pumpkin!
Enjoy some pictures from her celebration.

Little Lobo

Matthew and I have had Lady Lobo Basketball season tickets for 5 seasons now. Last year we got another seat for Hannah to join us at all of the games. Hannah LOVES the Lobos, watching only the ladys play (we took her to a mens game and she was not happy) and she really enjoys the cheerleaders asking when she can be one. We took Rachel to this years Season (Exhibition) opener, she enjoyed it. Enjoy a couple pictures of Rachel's first Lobo game.

Happy Halloween

We had a great time carving our pumpkins on Tuesday night and last night we took the girls trick or treating. Hannah did really well, even when one of the people at the end of the street scared her. He had a cauldron outside that he hit a button and smoke and noise started coming out of it. She wanted to go straight home but we convinced her that it was just smoke and we could continue around the block. Rachel rode in the stroller and everyone just thought she was too cute!

Enjoy the pictures of the carving and the girls in their costumes!

Trunk or Treat

Last Wednesday was an exciting day for the Mayhew girls! Hannah had her harvest fest at school and then that night my MOMS Club had our 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat!

Explanation: Trunk or Treat - all of the moms (and some dads) from our club meet at the community center and we all decorate our trunks and then let the kids go from trunk to trunk to get candy, we also have a parade of all the kids in their costumes. Its a fun way to all meet and have fun with Halloween.

Hannah was Cinderella and Rachel was a ladybug. It was a lot of fun!
